This will always be one of my favorite songs. We go way back. In first grade, my best friend Melissa and I were "in love" with this kid, and were all through grade school. He was perfect to us. Back then, we both had very, very long hair and in P.E, we'd have to run laps. Our P.E teacher would put on music and every once in a while she'd put on this song. Whenever it came on, we'd flip our hair, and run faster, and do just about everything to get this boy's attention. Fail. :) So, then, five years later, my sister had brought home a pg-13 movie. I remember this because my mom was really mad because there were little kids and she didn't want bad movies in the house. So my sister put it in, I guess, to show them it was okay, and it was " That Thing You Do." When I heard the song on the movie, I called my friend and freaked out. "It's our song!!" I kept screaming. I was a little too excited. So, that girl is still my best friend, and that boy never gave us the attention we wanted, sadly, but we found people even better than grade school fantasies. Oh yeah. We still rock this in the car whenever we're together. Timeless :)
